About us

Proud Member of the American Herbalists Guild

As young girls growing up in our close-knit families, the dinner table was not just a place for nourishment, but also a forum for exchanging age-old wisdom about the healing properties of plants, food, and drink. From our grandmother’s tales of eating garlic to ward off illness or insistence on drinking chamomile tea to calm the nerves, every meal was imbued with a deep sense of connection to our cultural heritage and the natural world. These culinary traditions were more than just recipes handed down through the generations – they were a living testament to our ancestors' profound respect for the power of nature to heal both body and soul. In the hustle and bustle of modern life, these traditions served as a grounding force, reminding us of our roots and our place in the natural order of things.

During the pandemic, nature became our sanctuary, offering us comfort, healing, and a sense of grounding amidst the chaos. We found ourselves seeking more natural remedies for ourselves and our families.  We craved getting our bodies back in balance and dove deep into the world of western herbalism, earning certificates in Plant Medicine from Cornell. We learned what to do to support our wellness with herbs and want to share this powerful practice with you.

We are reconnecting folks to folk medicine through hands-on immersive experience with the power of locally sourced plants & community.

You will create more life and vitality through immersive, group-based experiences. Our goal is to empower you to support the health and wellbeing of your loved ones through learning how to prepare plant medicine at home. Jarabe House offers a reprieve from the day to day to restore and regain your connection to your mind, body, spirit, and our place in this world.  Feel pampered, rejuvenated, and inspired in the security of your own home.

We are so excited to connect with you.  See you soon!

The result of this purposeful interaction between plants and humans is perhaps less a matter of chemistry than a commingling of interdependent souls.
